The PIPEx is a pre-engineered, off-the-shelf structural rein- forcement designed to increase the load carrying capacity of ANY solid, pipe or angle leg lattice tower.

To accommodate the majority of towers in the industry, the PIPEx has been expanded into two subcategories: PIPEx-L for angle leg towers and PIPEx-P for round leg tower members.

Unique to the PIPEx series of reinforcements are the bolt-on attachment plates that connect to the tower legs and can be lo- cated anywhere between panels to clear mounts and other ob- structions. For small overstresses of up to 20% in the legs, new sub-horizontal members can be installed with ease. Should further reinforcing be required, lattice bracing and external pipes can be attached to the bolt-on brackets at any time, becoming the main support for the tower (exoskeleton).
